Signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and Korean Development Bank.

On November 21st, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance held the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation (MoU) with the Korean Development Bank (KDB) in advancing the operational capacity of the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB).
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung – Deputy Director of Finance Department of Banks and Financial Institutions, Ministry of Finance, and Mr. Lee Young Lok – Global Business Director, KDB signed this MoU on behalf of the two sides.
The ceremony had the presence of Mr. Nguyen Minh Tho – Deputy General Director of VDB along with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and KDB.
The content of the MoU is aimed at promoting the VDB’s operational capacity in the following areas: (i) Completing the system of mechanisms and policies on VDB’s organization and operation; (ii) Improving VDB’s operational efficiency and governance; (iii) Strengthening the VDB’s capital capacity; (iv) Enhancing the VDB’s risk management capacity; (v) Other fields.
It is a good opportunity for VDB to approach, and learn experience from such a highly qualified development bank like KDB, which is also meaningful to VDB in the context of the current restructuring bank./.
