The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will provide US$150,000 for 5,000 people (or equivalent to 1,250 households) who are seriously suffered from consequences caused by droughts in two districts of Ham Thuan Bac and Bac Binh in the central province of Binh Thuan.
The sum will be used to help the beneficiaries to access clean water and sanitation, helping prevent diseases, which may occur due to water poverty.
The World Vision was chosen to carry out the program.
Earlier, it actively supplied US$80,000 for 5,000 local people in these two districts to realize the long-term development program.
From the middle of June to July 2016, the World Vision will continue using its budget for rice relief and providing filtration, pumping equipment and water storage for 2,000 people in Bac Binh district.
