The proportion of bad debt of the banking system has been maintained under 3% and tended to decrease, according to the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV).
The bad debt continues to be effectively controlled and monitored as the SBV always identifies bad debt treatment as a priority in restructuring work.
In early months of 2017, the whole system continues to drastically launch measures to address bad debt such as retrieving debt from customers and selling bad debt to the Viet Nam Asset Management Company.
Besides, credit organizations have focused on improving the quality of credit activities and obeying the SBV’s regulations on safety lines and risk reduction to maintain the proportion of bad debt under 3%.
