Gov't eases regulations on loan guarantee

The Government has decided to ease regulations on granting guarantee for new loans taken by businesses.
This is part of the Decision No. 433/QĐ-TTg signed by PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on April 20, 2018 amending and supplementing the Decision No. 544/QD-TTg dated on April 20, 2017 on approving medium-term debt management program in 2016 – 2018 period.
Under the Decision 544/QD-TTg, the Government had decided to temporarily stop all guarantee for new domestic and foreign loans of enterprises.
However, with the new decision, the Government will only limit its guarantee for new loans taken by enterprises for their investment projects.
The Government chief also tasked the Ministry of Finance to review the list of projects guaranteed by the Government in the first half of 2018 and submit it to him for consideration and approval./.
