Fee for establishing resident representative offices increased

Since October 1, 2012, the licensing fee for representative offices set up by foreign traders in Vietnam will be increased to VND 3 million from the current VND 1 million.
It is part of the Ministry of Finance’s newly-issued Circular 133/2012/TT-BTC guiding the collection and management of licensing fee for setting up resident representative offices of foreign traders in Vietnam.
This new document will replace the Ministry’s Circular 73/1999/TT-BTC adopted on June 14, 1999.
All foreign traders licensed to establish their resident representative offices in Vietnam must pay fees.
In case of re-issuance and extension of operation duration, the fee level is VND 1.5 million per license.
The fee shall be Vietnam dong./.
