
They include a 92 kilometre Vinh Tan – Phan Thiet line, a 63 kilometre Vinh Tan - Thap Cham line and a Thap Cham substation.
The total cost for the three projects is estimated at nearly VND2 trillion (US$94 million) using fund from VDB, MB, Eximbank and NPT’s capital.
These are key power projects approved by the Prime Minister in 2013 that will enhance the transmission capacity from the Vinh Tan thermal power centre to the national power grid.
They also aim to strengthen connectivity between local power grids.
The three projects are scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The Vinh Tan power centre, located in Binh Thuan’s Tuy Phong district, consists of four power plants with a combined capacity of 5,000 megawatts.
