As of November 30th, 2013, Nam Mo Hydropower contributes 50 million kWh to the national power grid

The Nam Mo hydropower project has total investment capital of VND 470 billion, of which VND 302 billion comes from state investment credit as signed between VDB’s branch of NgheAn and NgheAn Energy Development Corporation, project owner. As November 30th, 2013 VND 289 billion has been disbursed with outstanding of VND 260 billion. There is no overdue principal and interest.

The project is located on the Nam Mo River in the area of ​​Canh village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. An advantage of the project is that a part of its water serving to power generators comes Laos the neighbor country, so it has not to face with difficulty to make full its water reservoir for dry reason and ensure a continuous power supply for the whole time.

As schedule, the water impounding Ceremony was held On November 29th, 2011. On January 10th, 2013, turbine No.1 began to generate power and three months later, on April 10th, 2013, it was the turn of the turbine No.2. Since its official date of operation, this plant is exploited at full capacity with its technical requirements and specification. As of November 30th, 2013, the plant has generated nearly 50 million kWh.

 Being completed and in operation, The Nam Mo project has marked a practical and efficient contribution to power development and national energy security program. It also met the power demand of the region, created jobs, improved the living standards and spiritual life for minorities population in the region.  It ensures politic security in the high border regions of  Nghe An province. /.
