Joining the "Wind power financing- Part 2" training

Recently, officers from VDB have joined the training activity with the theme “Wind power financing- Part 2” hold by Germany International Cooperation (GIZ) in Hanoi from 17 to 19 April 2017.
This training activity is a part of the “Support to the Up-scaling of wind power in Vietnam” program by GIZ and Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam. It is to provide opportunities for participants to study wind power projects from commercial and financial aspects. Most of participants are experts working in financial and energy areas from banks, financial institutions, investment funds.
The first part of the training program took part in 2016 provided participants with basic knowledge of project financial assessment and risk valuation while this second part focuses on improving skills of participants by working on case studies. Lecturer explained how to choose inputs, assess financial situations of companies through contracts, cash flows and project risks.
This training is a good chance to improve professional capacity of officers working in wind power project financing in particular and clean energy in general, sectors which are actually priorities of VDB financing./.
