Signing ceremony of credit contract to finance the Tak Le hydropower project

On July 26, 2024, the VDB’ branch of Ha Giang and Thanh Binh Company Limited have signed the State investment credit contract of VDN875 billion to finance the Tak Le hydropower project (production capacity of 29.5MW). The loan has term of 20 years.
Located in Tra Nam commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province - a particularly difficult socio-economic conditions area, the Tak Le project, classified at the group B, has two turbines with a production capacity of 29,5 MW, an average annual electricity output of about 89,9 million kWh.
The project is expected to be commercially operational in the fourth quarter of 2026. Once completed, it will provide electricity to the national and regional grid and provide downstream area with additional water in the dry season, develop eco-tourism and aquaculture, improve microclimate and environmental landscape, contribute to socio-economic development and local people's living conditions ./.
