Inauguration of Suoi Chan 2 hydropower Plant in Lao Cai province

The Suoi Chan 2 hydropower plant project owned by VIDIFI Energy Investment joint stock Company has officially generated electricity for the national grid on June 13th, 2017 after 2 years of construction.
Located on Chan stream following through Son Thuy, Vo Lao, Nam Du and Khanh Yen Thuong communes of Van Ban district, Lao Cai province, the project has total investment of VND360 billion, of which VND150 billion is from the VDB’s state investment credit and VND100 billions from ODA source.
On operation, the power plant adds to the national power grid about 56 million KW per year and generates VND64 billion in annual revenue, contributing about VND11 billion to the state budget and creating more jobs for local population./.
