On November 4, 2019 in Hanoi, Governor Le Minh Hung of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) had a meeting with Mr. Lee Dong Gull, Chairman of the Korea Development Bank (KDB).

At the meeting, Governor Le Minh Hung and KDB Chairman Lee Dong Gull exchanged their views about the roles and forms of providing policy credit in South Korea and Vietnam to implement target programs and key economic projects of each country; discussed the importance of developing the foundation for creative growth and digital transformation in the banking sector in the fourth industrial revolution. The two sides also exchanged their experience in restructuring and improving the operations of the commercial banks, etc.
Briefing on the process of the KDB’s establishment, development, strengths and achieved results, Mr. Lee Dong Gull expressed his hope that the KDB would have the chance for long-term operations in Vietnamese market in order to connect and develop the cooperative relations between the enterprises and the credit institutions of the two countries, contributing to enhancing the bilateral relationship and strategic cooperation between South Korea and Vietnam./.
