VDB, MB and Son Hai Group sign Credit agreement to finance Tan Phu-Bao Loc Expressway project

On August 11, 2026, in Dak Lak Province, Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) – Dak Lak Branch, MB – Transaction Office No. 2, and Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. signed a credit agreement to finance the Tan Phu–Bao Loc expressway project under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak provincial people’s committee; Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong, Director of the State bank of Vietnam’s region 11; Mr. Le Van Hoan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VDB; Mr. Nguyen Long Van, Deputy General Director of VDB; as well as leaders and officials from VDB’s Head Office departments, other VDB branches, and credit institutions in the area.
Representing MB were leaders from its Head Office, relevant divisions, and Transaction Office No. 2. On behalf of the customer were the Chairman of the members’ council and members of the executive board of Son Hai Group also attended the ceremony
With total credit financing of VND 9.596 trillion, including VND 7.396 trillion provided by VDB – Dak Lak Branch and VND 2.200 trillion by MB – Transaction Office No. 2, the signing marks an important step toward realizing the project’s objective of connecting the Southeastern region with the Central highlands.
The Tan Phu–Bao Loc Expressway Project is a continuation of the Dau Giay–Tan Phu Expressway and an important section of the Dau Giay–Lien Khuong expressway corridor. Together with the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong section, it will form a key transport route connecting the Southeastern region with the Central highlands.
The project has the largest total investment and loan amount among the three sections of the expressway route from Dau Giay to Lien Khuong.
In his remarks at the signing ceremony, Mr. Le Van Hoan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VDB, emphasized that once completed, the three expressway sections along the Dau Giay–Lien Khuong route would not only contribute to socio-economic development in Dong Nai and Lam Dong provinces, but also strengthen connectivity among the Central highlands, the Southeastern region, and the South Central Coast.
The new route will reduce travel distances and transportation costs, expand opportunities for logistics, tourism, trade, and investment, and create greater development opportunities for people and businesses throughout the region./.
