ODA on-lending for Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay highway

On July 15, 2021, in Hanoi, Operation Center I – VDB and Vietnam Expressway Development Investment Corporation's (VEC) have signed a credit contract according to which VDB would onlend JPY 11.517.187.200 (VND2.000 billion) to finance Ho Chi Minh - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway Project, credit funded by Japanese ODA through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The expressway goes through Districts 2 and 9 of Ho Chi Minh City and Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, Cam My, Thong Nhat districts of Dong Nai province. Once completed, it will connect with National Highway 51, Long Thanh airport and with National Highway N01 at Dau Giay which should be the starting point of the new Da Lat - Dau Giay expressway project.
The expressway construction is to meet with increasing transportation needs and to promote economic and social development for the Southeast region and the whole country.
Operation Center I - VDB are disbursing and monitoring loans for 6 VEC's projects, including 2 TA projects and 4 expressway projects, with a total outstanding of VND 35.872 billion as of June 30, 2021. /.
