The total investment for the project is over USD 1.2 billion, out of which USD 350 million is for the first phase. VDB contributed VND 3.822 trillion worth of credit for the first phase through its NgheAn’s Branch, the biggest credit signed at the Branch.
The project uses the most advanced technology in Southeast Asia in breading as well as centralization at large scale.
TH Milk farm currently has more than 32,000 dairy cattle imported from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, out of which 15,000 are lactating; the rest are heifers and calves. TH group’s long-term goal is to increase its dairy cattle to 137,000 by 2017, accounting for about 50 % of the country.
After two years of construction, in July 2013, TH Group inaugurated the fresh milk processing plant; the only one in Vietnam designed and built to produce high-quality fresh dairy products with capacity of 200,000 tons product/ year. By 2017, the production can be increased to 500,000 tons/year.
TH group’s inauguration of fresh milk processing plant, first phase with capacity of 200.000tons product/year has contributed to enhance Vietnam’s dairy industry position; stabilize domestic market, create more choices for consumers to choose international – quality dairy products with competitive price.
The project completion is a breakthrough in the field of agriculture in the region and contributes to create jobs for the residents, especially agricultural employees being seasonally jobless in the project location as this is economically the most difficult region in Nghe An province. Thousand persons can join directly or indirectly to the project as grass planter, or sale personnel.
TH is striving by 2015 to become the Vietnam’s largest fresh milk supplier, meeting 50% domestic demand with vision to expand its activities to countries in the region as well as in the world in the future.
