Long Son Water Supply System started

On 4th March, the groundbreaking ceremony the Project " Long Son Water Supply System, Tan Chau town, An Giang province" was held in An Giang province. The Project is under urban water supply program in the Mekong Delta which is funded by the French Government’s ODA through the French Development Agency (AFD).
The project, which is owned by An Giang power and water supply joint stock Company, has a total investment of VND 70 billion, of which VND46,8 billion is from VDB’s state loan. It has designed capacity of 5.000m3/day and will be finished in three years.
Aiming to provide clean water to central wards of Tan Chau town and neighboring communes, the Project will contribute to improve quality of people’s life, decrease the damages caused by unclean water; improve environmental conditions as well as social security in the project area.
