The Pleiku-My Phuoc- Cau Bong 500kV transmission line was integrated into the national power grid on May 5, serving the socio-economic development of the southern region and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

Run by the Vietnam National Power Transmission Corporation, the line is 437.5 km long and passes through five provinces: Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Dak Nong in the Central Highlands, and Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong in the south.
The project was conducted with a cost of 9.2 trillion VND (432.4 million USD) from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the German Reconstruction Bank, the Vietnam Bank of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Development Bank.
The line has linked the power system of the southeastern and southwestern regions, ensuring a safe and smooth network ready to cope with the exchange of power among regions in the country.
