Tu Tren hydropower plant (Lao Cai province) connected to the national power grid

Two turbines of the Tu Tren hydropower plant with total designed capacity of 2.8 MW has successfully been operational and connected to the national grid on 5th July, 2017.
Located in Nam Xa commune, Van Ban district, Lao Cai province, the two-turbine plant, owned by Cuong Linh construction Co., Ltd, has total investment of VND80 billion, VND43 billion of which is from state investment credit through VDB’s Lao Cai branch.
With the average power output of 11.19 million KWh and turnovers of about VND11 billion, each year the project will contribute on average VND2.4 billion to local budget, contributing to the socio-economic development and restructure of the province./.
