VDB participates in business activities within the framework of the National Assembly Chairman's working delegation to Italy and Turkey

From April 12 to 18, 2026, the working delegation of Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) led by Deputy General Director Nguyen Long Van participated in business activities within the framework of the National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s working delegation to Italy and Turkey.

Within the framework of accompanying the National Assembly Chairman, the VDB delegation led by Deputy General Director Nguyen Long Van attended the Policy Dialogue on Enhancing Vietnam–Italy Cooperation held on April 13, 2026, in Milan, Italy. The dialogue was jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, the Lombardy Business Association, and the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy. This is a particularly important event in the context of the more than 50 years of friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Italy enter a new, deeper, and more effective phase of development.
Speaking at the dialogue, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in areas where Italy has strengths and Vietnam has demand, such as manufacturing, high technology, green transition, renewable energy, infrastructure, supporting industries, and food processing, etc. He also called for enhanced business connectivity between the two countries, particularly in innovation and digital transformation.
 
Delegates at Policy Dialogue on Enhancing Vietnam–Italy Cooperation
Subsequently, on April 16, 2026, the VDB delegation attended the Policy Dialogue on Enhancing Vietnam–Turkey Cooperation. The dialogue was held within the framework of the National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s participation in the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) in Istanbul, Turkey. At the event, the National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered remarks calling on the business communities of both countries to expand cooperation in areas with strong potential and complementary advantages, including processing and manufacturing industries, textiles and garments, leather and footwear, high-tech agriculture, tourism, energy, transport infrastructure, and logistics; new strategic sectors such as digital transformation, innovation, green economy, circular economy, and renewable energy, etc.
 
Delegates at Policy Dialogue on Enhancing Vietnam–Turkey Cooperation
In addition to the official programs, the VDB delegation actively engaged in sideline activities, including meetings and exchanges with local organizations and partners to explore cooperation opportunities and promote financial and investment relations between Vietnam and partner countries. The information and experience shared during these engagements provide a basis for VDB to update its understanding of the investment environment and development orientations of partners, serving as a foundation for studying potential financial support for projects involving Vietnamese enterprises in the future, in line with its assigned functions and responsibilities.
