Attending and witnessing the signing ceremony were Mr. Dao Quang Truong- VDB’s General Director, representatives of several VDB departments, Mr. Leu Manh Huy - Chairman of the Board of Members, along with members of the Management Board of DNP Song Tien.
The Dong Tam water plant’s raw water pumping Station and transmission pipeline system project is located in the provinces of Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, and Vinh Long. The project aims to ensure an adequate supply of surface water for domestic use, solve the problem of saline intrusion, and partially replace groundwater sources that are being severely depleted due to overexploitation in the Mekong Delta region.
This is a Group B project, classified as a Grade I technical infrastructure work, with a designed capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day. The project’s output is raw water supplied for water treatment plants and clean water distribution systems. The total investment of the project is approximately VND 1,820,819 million, of which VDB provides a loan of VND 1,274,573 million. Upon completion and operation, the project will not only bring economic benefits to DNP – Song Tien but also hold significant social welfare importance./.
