On 28th March, 2015, the Vietnam Development Bank’s branch of Ha Giang has signed a credit contract with Thanh Binh Co.,Ltd. to finance VND 560 billion as state investment credit for Song Lo 2 hydropower project’s construction and equipment purchase with a maximum maturity up to 12 years and a grace period of 2.5 years.

Located on the Lo river, Dao Duc commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province, the Song Lo 2 hydropower  project, owned by Thanh Binh Co., Ltd, has designed capacity of 28 MW with total investment of VND 898 billion. Once completed, it will provide an outpot of 114 million Kwh per annum to the national power grid.
The project’s water reservoir capacity is more than 9 million m3. Its low water takes maximum use of  water power to generate electricity. The simple design of the project with a wide construction site allows a faster construction. Its submerged area is not large and required less settlement compensation. Being a low-water colum hydropower project with daytime water regulation, the project does not have impact on the natural flow of the river. Besides, the project’s site is a place of beautiful landscapes and really favorable for aquaculture sector.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms.Nguyen Thi Hien Diu - Deputy Director in charge of the Ha Giang branch has committed to disburse capital as the signed credit contract and coordinate with the investor to monitor the project implementation for the completion as schedule.
Mr Pham Cao Hoa - Chairman of the member Council, Director of Thanh Binh Co.,Ltd expressed his sincere thank for the coordination and timely support of the Vietnam Development Bank in general, the Ha Giang branch in particular. He confirmed to implement the proect as schedule and expressed wish the bilateral cooperation between two sides become more and more effective./.
