Signing ceremony of ODA on-lending credit contract at VDB's Dong Nai branch

On August 10th, 2017 VDB’s Dong Nai branch and Dong Nai Water Supply Joint Stock Company signed a credit contract to provide an additional loan of 15 million USD sourced from foreign capital for the project of construction and expansion of Thien Tan water supply system (second phase).
Previously, VDB’s Dong Nai branch financed VND453 billion from state investment credit and ODA for Thien Tan water supply plant’s first phase. The plant of 100.000m3/per night and day capacity with total investment of VND 498 billion has been completed and put in operation since 2004. It has proved to be efficient and the loan has been fully paid off.
The 2nd phase of the project aims to expand its capacity from 100.000 m3/per day and night to 200.000 m3 /per day and night. This phase has total investment of VND1.277 billion of which VND 856 billion (about 41 million USD) from ODA through VDB.
According to the agreement signed on May 20th, 2009, the first trend of ODA on-lending credit extended to the project through VDB’s Dong Nai Branch was USD 26 million. Combined with the second one of USD 15 million, the total ODA on-lending commitment amount to the project through this branch is USD 41 millions ./.
